Zvezda 5064 1:72 T-28 Soviet Tank |
|||
T-28 is a Soviet three-tower medium tank, which was designed and entered into production before World War II. These machines played an active role in a number of local conflicts immediately before the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War and also in a number of initial encounters with the Germans. The Red Army took over the T-28 in August 1933 and its production at the Kirov factory in Leningrad took place until 1940. A characteristic feature of this tank was three rotating turrets - one large with a 76mm cannon and two smaller with machine guns. Although relatively heavy, it moved well in all types of terrain. During the Winter War, several machines were captured by the Finnish army and used until 1951.
